2015: You Are Fighting For Yourselves, Northern Youth Accuse Elders


The Northern Youth Forum (NYF) has accused the Northern Elders Forum (NEF) and the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) of promoting their own selfish agenda by insisting that the region must produce the next president in 2015.   

 The group also blamed the elders and the ruling elites in the region for the under development and other challenges facing the region.

The Northern Youth Forum (NYF) has accused the Northern Elders Forum (NEF) and the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) of promoting their own selfish agenda by insisting that the region must produce the next president in 2015.

The group also blamed the elders and the ruling elites in the region for the under development and other challenges facing the region.

A statement signed by the director media and publicity of the group in Kaduna said the recent press conference by the NEF and ACF led by Professor Ango Abdullahi, was designed to promote selfish interest at the expense of ordinary Nigerians.

The youth also condemned statements attributed to south south geo-political zone on the 2015 elections. They insisted that that the future of the region cannot be compromised to serve the interest of few individuals such as the northern elders and ACF.

Elders and some governors in the north had been making moves over the 2015 elections. They had at several occasions vowed not to sell out as they did in 2011 elections. Governors visited three former heads of state to confer on the political future of the region.
