Rapper Folarin Falana popularly known as “Falz the Bahd Guy” today released a spanking new video of his first single of the year titled “TALK” were he mocked the government and religious leaders.
Recall that Falz had in 2018 released a similar song ‘This Is Nigeria’ which the Muslim Right Concern, (MURIC), described the video as “insensitive, thoughtless and highly provocative”.
According to MURIC, the video portrayed by Falz ridiculed the plight of Chibok Girls in Boko Haram captivity.
Among others, Falz in the video addressed issues like Police brutality and Injustice, herdsmen killing, corruption among government officials.
Accordingly, MURIC issued a day ultimatum to bring down the trending video and apologise to Muslims or face a legal action.
It was later reported the video of the song was banned by the Nigeria Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) after a petition by MURIC.
However, Falz in his new single wondered why MURIC failed to show up in court after all the energy it displayed after the video.
He also addressed the political climate in the country where he said some politicians who was given four years tenure and were spending 3 years on holidays.
Falz also took time to address the society’s ills where he said politicians who are canvassing for votes ahead of 2019 elections are only doing it for personal gains.
He also mocked the Federal Government for still paying N19,800 to National Youth Service Corps member even in 2019 despite the prevailing economic reality.
The Rapper also announced he will be dropping a new Album ‘MORAL INSTRUCTION’ on the 15th of January.
Commenting on the new single via his twitter handle, the rapper tweeted “It’s very important that we continue to #Talk
“We cannot attain the sanity that we seek by being quiet or nonchalant about our state of affairs. We need to react! And NOW! #NaMeTalkAmO
“We have become terribly accustomed to this chaotic lifestyle. We all know that it is only a few people that benefit from this. They have ensured it remains that way. Yet we are quiet. #Talk#NaMeTalkAmO” he added.
